Smooth leather
Remove surface dirt with a soft dry cloth. Apply a small amount of neutral conditioner only when the leather feels dry, test it in an inconspicuous area and buff gently after absorption.
Technical outerwear
Air garments after wear and spot-clean first. When washing is necessary, close fastenings, follow the garment label and avoid fabric softener, which can reduce technical performance.
Storage
Keep pieces clean and dry away from direct heat or sunlight. Use shoe trees or acid-free paper to support shape, and leave enough room around garments for air to circulate.
Repairs
Attend to loose stitching, worn soles and damaged fastenings early. A qualified local repairer can often extend the useful life of a well-made object with a small intervention.
